THE Brewhouse in Taunton has announced its spring programme of events – and it features a mixture of music, comedy and theatre, and a new festival.

Coming soon are plenty of shows for family audiences including The Giants, a football-based show touching on the hearts of Yeovil Town fans young and old; High Jinx – Magic and Illusion (as seen on Penn and Teller) in February half term; The Little Mermaid at Easter; and the Roald Dahl classic, Danny the Champion of the World, in May.

Comedy heading to the venue includes Lee Hurst on January 30, Jethro on February 20 and Richard Herring in May.

For music fans, The Brewhouse will be welcoming Pete Allen; leading tribute band Oasi-is, celebrating 20 years of What’s the Story alongside Richard Huish College music students; 80s icon Hazel O’Connor; as well as the Barron Knights and Talon.

Theatregoers can enjoy Bronte’s Wuthering Heights, an adaptation of Shakespeare’s King John and some new writing from the likes of the Royal Court.

As well as regulars, such as Taunton Thespians' “Tons of Money” and the yearly Gang Show, the Brewhouse is also hosting Somerset Storyfest and Taunton Live, a new festival for the town.
