BILLED as “the UK’s favourite old-time country string band”, Buffalo Gals are coming to the EMN Hall, Monksilver, next week.
The six-piece band, led by champion American fiddler Kate Lissauer, specialise in the old songs and tunes of Appalachia, blues and rags, ballads and work songs, dance numbers, spirituals and gospel.
The event, featuring a licensed bar, is put on by Under One Sun, in association with Take Art and Artlife.
Doors open at 7.30pm, with the music starting at 8pm.
