FROM music to art, theatre to great food and drink - there's something for everyone at the 10Parishes Festival.

Beyond Expectations is a new play by Avril Silk which just had its successful debut at the Edinburgh Fringe and will be performed at Appley Pavilion on September 5, followed by a performance at the Tacchi Morris Centre on September 10.

Beyond Expectations’ revisits Dickens' beloved novel, Great Expectations, this time placing Estella in the centre of the action, following her journey from childhood to adulthood. Box office: 01823 672131.

Tom Wood's sculptures are creations made of found materials, which emulate nature and offer habitats to many species of birds and insects. Venue: Bicknells, Bathealton.

Clayhanger String Quartet plays Haydn and Soprano Alison Routh performs songs by Dvorak, Strauss and Mussorgsky. A two part candlelit performance including wine and nibbles during the interval followed by a simple supper. Venue: St Michael's Church, Raddington.

Dawn Mangan's work contains paintings in watercolour, oil, acrylic and mixed media. It covers a variety of subjects, which include landscape, seascape, flowers and some abstract work. Venue: Heydon Cottage,

Huish Champflower.

Clatworthy Community Exhibition - displays depicting changes in population, farming, lifestyle and topography. Includes photographs, family and parish records, artefacts and crafts. Church with 12th century tower opened to view WW1 memorials. Venue: Clatworthy Village Hall.
