DILLINGTON House plays host to what promises to be an exceptional concert performed by members of The Chamber Ensemble of London and directed by versatile violinist Peter Fisher.
This special programme features composers who fought in the Great War including Vaughan Williams, Hindemith and Kreisler - as well as lighter music of the period, by Ivor Novello and Irving Berlin.
There is also a new suite by West Country composer Clive Jenkins entitled ‘No Man’s Land’, comprising music interspersed with poignant readings from English, German, French and Russian poets.
The concert will take place at 2.30pm on Sunday, November 22. Tickets £17 are available in advance from the Dillington House Bookings Office 01460 258613.
