LOCAL musician, Lizzy Maden, will be performing to the crowds at the Night Strider event at Taunton Racecourse on July 10.
Lizzy along with Cocobelle and Man from Funkle are playing to volunteers in the ladies charity walk in support of St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice.
Lizzy has been singing and writing music for ten years.
At one point she had a record deal but due to her own health she had to drop out of it, but is now putting together a major recording project with other musicians to raise funds for the hospice.
St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice provides specialist care at our Hospices in Taunton and Yeovil for people living with an incurable illness.
Lizzy’s motivation for this charity is her mother, who is currently receiving the services of St Margaret’s.
She said: “Our family is having a very positive experience of St Margaret’s, that’s why I feel very much that this charity needs support.
“People there are so very good at all they do, I really want to raise awareness of the hospice through music.”
You can hear Lizzy live at Night Strider by signing up to take part in this unique sponsored walk and music event or get a sample of the music by clicking on the link with this story at somersetcountygazette.co.uk
