New drama club for Taunton

ASPIRING young actors in Taunton will have another place to hone their skills thanks to the new Hunkypunks Drama Club – starting in September.

The club for five to 12-year-olds will be run by Jane Leakey, who runs the Fat Cat Theatre Company.

She said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for children to have fun, make new friends, gain confidence and learn new skills.

“There will also be the chance to put on a play. I want this club to really belong to the children and will encourage the members to share their ideas as to what they would like to club to be about.”

Hunkypunks Drama Club starts on September 12 at the Temple Methodist Church Hall in Taunton, from 10am – 12pm.
