Wiveliscombe’S film society, Cinema Obscura will screen their Christmas show, Encounters at the End of The World, directed by Werner Herzog, on Sunday.

The film, certificate U, is a fascinating documentary of a hidden society at the bottom end of the world – with a vital mission for the earth’s survival.

New Membership is £20 (couples £38), which includes Encounters as well as four more films in the season.

Guest entry is £5. Doors at Wiveliscombe Primary School Hall, North Street Wiveliscombe, open at 7pm with the film starting at 7:30pm.
