I AM a Somerset County Cricket Club member, attending four-day games when I can and all 50-over games.

My reason for writing is to protest at Sky’s imposition of music at 50-over games, and to ask if other followers feel as offended by the unnecessary intrusion?

There have been letters of protest in the national press.

On the two occasions I raised this with the club, I was told that Sky insist on it.

Presumably, if enough of us expresses our dislike, we would force a change.

Interestingly, Lords have banned this intrusive noise at 50-over games, so that when a wicket falls or a boundary is scored, the paying customer’s hearing is not assaulted.
