LETTER: Traffic 'calming' actually speeds cars up
I DO hope the three main roads the council wants to alter in Taunton will work better than the traffic-calming methods in Eastwick Road, because the chicanes which are supposed to slow the traffic down actually speeds it up.
Do the councillors look into these problems long term, or just jump in feet first without thinking?

Last year they closed East Street for road works and the shops lost a lot of revenue.
I hope they have thought of this.
