MAY I first thank the County Gazette for publishing the letter that was published on February 9 (Help drivers, Postbag) that referred to pedestrianising Taunton centre.

Many of my associates and friends, all but two, have agreed with the sentiment of my view regarding this topic.

I do not have the time or the serious effort, as has been suggested and required, to make more of an effort to formally form an action campaign of marches and disruption to warn Taunton’s populace of the folly of the bureaucrats that are following National Government dictum; which would be required to put a stop to this non-sensual decree from above.   

Taunton residents and businesses, you have been warned!
