I SO enjoyed the variety of old buses on Castle green on a lovely, sunny Sunday.
There was a lively, friendly atmosphere and it was so good to be transported to a time passed.
It brought back memories of travelling, aged seven years, from beckenham, through Penge, Sydenham and Perry vale to Forest Hill to school.
When I got home yesterday, I looked this route up in the A to Z of London. What a long journey it was!
When I grew older, I enjoyed the company of Dulwich College boys, who always rode on the top deck.
I remember one boy, called Derek Darling, I wonder where he is now?
As I did not take a ride this year I do hope this event will return in 2018 and I will take a ride, on the top deck!
