I WOULD like to start with the great and wonderful achievements from the party that was born to rule! Who else but the Conservative Party?

No laughing at the back please, this is serious!

I will confine these great achievements to the last seven days starting firstly, with the brave decision by the beloved leader Maggie (sorry May), not to return parliament to ask MPs to vote on whether the British armed services should help our American cousins along with our close friends the French to give that disgusting long necked infanticidal maniac Assad a kick up the backside for what he has been doing to his own people for several years.

I thought MPs were there to represent us, more or less, and voice their opinion on behalf of their constituents?

Not to worry, who needs sovereignty anyway when it suits the Government (funny though, I thought that’s why we are leaving the EU)?

Of course, I’m forgetting the urgency, umm... waiting for the schizophrenic Trump, who has already told the world his intentions of launching his new smart missiles soon, or maybe sooner? Good idea, keep it a surprise!

Then there was the brilliant handling by our born-to-rule party (BTRP), in particular by ex-Home Secretary Mrs May continued by the existing Home Secretary Amber Rudd, to lock up or deport any foreigners who went to the Home Office questioning a friendly little letter telling them that although they have been in the UK for 50 years - courtesy of their parents who were originally invited by the BTRP, had worked, paid their taxes, drove our busses and trains, collected our fares, joined the armed services and police, while taking care of our health and welfare and had the cheek not to apply for a passport!

Blue or red? Personally, I like green and pink!

Pity our BTRP haven’t got a clue who’s been sent back ‘home’ or to the likes of Harmondsworth Immigration Detention Centre by those really caring GEO guards and in particular management who have been criticised by the Chief Inspector of Prisons on several occasions regarding, among other things, mental and physical health wrecked by the experience of indefinite detention.

Another superb example of the BTRP is the excellent Universal Credit.

Yes, there have been a few minor glitches, like having to wait 42 days with no benefit payments as the system changes, sometimes as long as 60 days.

Admittedly, this has caused some problems such as rent not being paid, and in the worst-case people being evicted, but these people who got themselves into this position could surely have gone to their local loan shark to tide them over, and many have, with little choice.

Surely, they could have saved money from the old benefit system? Ah, I forgot, good old George Osborne reduced the benefit for families with more than two children.

Whatever, there is always an ever-increasing number of food banks they can rely on.

I was going to mention how our NHS is running smoothly, and how we have more police officers than we have ever had. But I can’t, as there is no increase.

My medication is wearing off and I can now see the complete chaos this most abject useless government we ever had have caused.

God help you if you are sick, have mental health issues, are out of work, or are disabled.

Oh, and live within the Somerset County Council jurisdiction.

When will they explain the ongoing six fraud enquiries which must have been completed by now as it’s been a big secret gathering dust since last year?

As for Taunton Deane, they have a monumentally out-dated grasp of what Taunton needs, which isn’t a new shopping area when high street shopping is losing to online purchasing, or yet another hotel.

Like children, TDBC are wowed by the Hilton name. TDBC will kill off our town centre just like they killed off the Ford Motor Company from building the Ford Transit plant at Norton Fitzwarren years ago!

Why, because local businesses looked at what Ford would pay and new they would have to up their workers’ salaries.

Isn’t free enterprise wonderful (for the few)?

What’s needed is industry such as in technology, warehousing and manufacturing which creates jobs putting money into the pockets of everyone.

What hope is there when we are subject to the control of this current Tory Administration and MP who are equally as incompetent as Westminster?

The only growth industry we are likely to see in our county town is one big dormitory town with a few trees to call it a ‘Garden Town’.
