THE significant Horse Chestnut tree on the corner of Trull and Galmington Road is sadly having to be felled.
It has been part of the Grade II*-listed Wheatleigh House grounds for a very long time, possibly over 100 years and has a Tree Preservation Order on it.
Unfortunately, it now has a disease, so has to be felled.
I think it will be sadly missed, not only by the Wheatleigh House and Wheatleigh Close residents but also by everyone who passes up and down Trull Road.
The felling will be happening over a three-day period from Monday, April 30, weather permitting.
