map

The three beats of Ruishton and Creech, North Curry and Stoke St Gregory are all rural, consisting of villages, small hamlets, farms and small industrial units. There are primary schools at all the main villages of North Curry, Stoke St Gregory, Ruishton, Creech St Michael and Burrowbridge. The crime rate is relatively low, mainly suffering from non-dwelling breaks to outbuildings, etc. The Ruishton and Creech beat covers the Bridgwater and Taunton Canal and all three beats include the River Tone, with the River Parrett being part of Stoke St Gregory beat. There are a few main roads cutting through the geographical area. These are the A358, which cuts through Henlade on Ruishton and Creech beat, A38 on that beat, A361 on North Curry and Stoke St Gregory beats and A378 on Ruishton and Creech beat and North Curry beat.

The force responsible for policing and crime prevention in this area is Avon and Somerset Constabulary.
