About this neighbourhood

map

The beat covers the town of Williton and surrounding areas. Being mainly agricultural the beat has a large farming community. On its eastern border lies the edge of the Quantocks, an area of outstanding natural beauty. To the south are the Brendon Hills and Clatworthy Reservoir and to the west, the Exmoor National Park. The busy A39 and A358 roads run through the beat area, carrying a large amount of traffic, especially during the summer months. The beat changes dramatically in appearance as the seasons progress and it is partly because of this that it attracts a large number of visitors.

The force responsible for policing and crime prevention in this area is Avon and Somerset Constabulary.
