HUNDREDS of women have already signed up to take part in the Taunton Race for Life this summer . . . but more are still needed to come forward.
The event, which will take place in July, is one of dozens taking place across the country to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.
Lisa Sweeting, area manager for Cancer Research UK, said: “We’re making progress, but we won’t rest until we find cures for all cancers.
“This summer the gloves are off. It’s time to take the fight to cancer at Race for Life 2013.
“With the support of the public our Taunton Race for Life events are on their way to becoming very successful, but we still need your help to unite even more women to take part.
“Cancer will affect one in three of us. With your support we’ll beat it sooner.”
The event takes place in Vivary Park at 11am on Sunday, July 14, over a distance of 5km.
Entries are invited from individuals, community groups, families or workplaces.
