A TOP hair stylist in Taunton will be taking its fashion-led hairdressing skills to the runway next week in a bid to bag a National award.

Toni and Guy Taunton entered a model photograph that gained it a place at the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2012 event on April 3 at the Park Plaza, London.

After shaking of more than 900 UK salon entrants, Rob Boon, Style Director, and Karen Alba-Jove, Technical Manager/Franchisee, will now join 65 salons in their region to compete in the L’Oreal Professionnel Men’s Image Award - the world’s longest running and most fashion-led hair competition.

Rob and Karen will have just 30 minutes to create a model look that reflects both their advanced hairdressing skills and knowledge of key catwalk trends taken straight from the Autumn / Winter 2012 runway collections.

Karen said: “It’s a chance for us to show that Toni and Guy truly deserve the ‘Superbrand and Coolbrand’ status awarded them by the fashion industry.”

If their model impresses the judges they will be entered into the 57th L’Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final on Monday May 28 at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.
