Open evening at the Phoenix
2:11pm Thursday 3rd May 2012 in Woman By Women correspondent
NEARLY everyone looks forward to the heat and warmth of the summer months, but for an unfortunate few this time of year can exacerbate a potentially embarrassing problem.
Everybody perspires when they get hot, but for a few people this normal reaction goes haywire and they get excessive perspiration from minimal exertion or just anxiety.
Armpits are obvious problem areas, but just imagine having to shake on that special deal and offering a damp, clammy hand, or dropping beads of perspiration all over the contract.
Envisage being the best man or woman at a wedding and standing there, the centre of attention and not looking one’s best at this important time.
Conventional treatments involve sprays or lotions, but these are not always very successful and can leave clothing stained or marked.
There is a solution to the problem. It is not a permanent fix, but it can let clients look forward to any special occasion with more confidence. It is very effective and can last six months or longer.
It is called Botox and is injected into the affected areas. The price depends on the size of the area to be treated.
Hyperhydrosis and other treatments are carried out at Phoenix Treatment Centre, where an open evening will be held on Wednesday, June 13. To book a place, call 0845-4565021.
Dr Rick Bowley and Dr Mike Wolfman, GPs accredited by the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors, will carry out a FREE consultation at Phoenix Treatment Centre, 4 St Johns Road, Taunton. To book a place call 0845-4565021.
