A HOME-grown fashion designer is going back to her roots with an exclusive fashion event in Taunton.

Phoebe Garlick, owner of Henry Hunt, a fashion design business based in the town, will showcase her latest Spring/Summer collection at the Pitcher and Piano in Corporation Street on August 10.

From life in the Blackdown Hills and studying at Somerset College, where she was inspired to pursue Fashion Design in London, Phoebe has already seen her work featured in top magazines such as Vogue, Elle and Country Life.

Phoebe said: “At Henry Hunt, our roots are important to us. Having grown up in Taunton and returned after being in London to set up the business locally I think it is very inspiring for young entrepreneurs.

“It is also rare for an event such as this to be staged for the younger generations in Taunton and encourages those who are interested to pursue their path, something that I felt a huge lack of in the area while growing up.”

Phoebe established the company in 2009 with the help of her family to create a modern strand of country clothing, combining the practicality of country lifestyle with contemporary fashion touches and styling.

She combines the edgy fun fashions from the capital with classic cuts and traditional fabrics from country, sporting and casual wear to develop Henry Hunt - Pure British Attire.

The free fashion show starts at 6pm, with a catwalk show at 9pm, and includes a Pop-Up Shop, Fancy Dress Photo Booth, Pimms, Party and lots more.

It will also feature the unique ‘Heirlooms’ range, plus a first-time sneak peek at the Autumn/Winter designs.

VIP tickets are available with champagne, luxury goodie bag and front row seat for £8. Visit http://www.henryhunt.co.uk/GiftVouchers/V.I.PTickets-SummerShow.html, email info@henryhunt.co.uk or call 0845 803 8231.
