CHILDREN took centre stage at the Creech St Michael Michael Flower Show in 1983.
Secretary of the event, Judith Jelks, told the County Gazette organisers wrote to schools in the area asking if they wished to contribute any special projects on the day.
Youngsters created posters and a range of colourful displays which were on show.
But the youngsters pictured went one step further, donning their best fancy dress for a competition on the day.
Can you pick a winner?
It was Stephen Waterman, pictured third from the right standing, who was presented with the Fancy Dress Cup for his appearance as the Pied Piper.
