SHOPPERS in Taunton’s Marks and Spencer store joined celebrations to mark 40 years of service by popular employee Bonny Lane.
Bonny, 56, was a well known face among the Marks and Spencer customers, and there was a special celebratory event held to mark her achievement on October 5, 2001.
She officially retired from the store on November 10.
She said: “I have a good relationship with the customers and wanted them to be part of the celebration.
“Lots of them came and took part and wished me well.
“I’ve worked in many different departments in the various Marks and Spencer Taunton shops over the years.”
After her retirement, Bonny said she was going to sit back and enjoy Christmas before continuing to be a member of the New Horizon singers.
Store supervisor Sarah Bradshaw said she was delighted to have worked with Bonny.
She added: “I feel privileged to be her line manager. She has been a pleasure to work with. We’ll be sad to lose her.”
