SOMERSET Fire and Rescue Service battled against a heath fire on Porlock Hill yesterday at around 5.30pm.

Pumps from Porlock, Williton, Minehead, Lynton, a water carrier from Bridgwater, a command support unit from Wiveliscombe and supporting landrovers all attended.

See this week's West Somerset County Gazette for the full story.

The Fire Brigade attended a moorland fire, common at this time of year.

There was no "Battle" against the fire, merely a routine beating down.
Tom Cobley and all his friends wanted to be there because there was a chance they could appear in the papers/ on television

Nobody was "Rescued."

It was all in a day's work but somebody wanted to be famous.

Tough Luck "Somebody!"
