Dramatic Coastguard rescue
A YOUNG man was rescued from cliffs at Watchet after he became stuck with a broken ankle this afternoon (Saturday).
The Coastguard were called to the clifftop on the east side of Watchet Marina at about 3pm by reports of a male with a leg injury.
The Coastguard rescue team assessed the situation and called in an RAF helicopter from RAF Chivenor.
The victim's leg was stabilised in an inflatable splint before he was winched into the helicopter.
He was then taken to North Devon District Hospital.
Photographer Steve Guscott was on hand to snap these dramatic photos.
