New head takes the helm
PUPILS at Knights Templar Community School in Watchet have welcomed their new head teacher with a special commissioning service.
Keith Atkins took the helm at the start of the term from acting head teacher Anne-Marie Saunders.
Mr Atkins has been teaching for eight years and hopes to continue the good work of the school, pupils and staff.
He said: "We will be building on the wonderful success of the school and build on all the good work, and keep the school at the heart of the community.
"The first thing is to get in and get settled and really think about what sort of school we want to be."
The service was held at St Decuman's Church last Thursday with parents, staff and pupils attending.
