THERE have been suggestions that Yeovil Town's experienced striker Marcus Stewart could be about to join the coaching staff at League One rivals Bristol Rovers.
Yeovil are hoping that Stewart, the Glovers' player-of-the-season, will sign a new contract to keep him at Huish Park for another season.
But Stewart, who is currently in Cheltenham taking his PFA coaching badge, has turned down an initial offer which has given rise to speculation about his future.
But it is understood that Rovers' director of football, Lennie Lawrence, has played down the suggestions that Stewart, a one-time favourite with the Bristol club, could be returning.
Regional press reports have said that the Rovers officials were not looking to make any changes to their coaching set-up.
