Police seize suspected drugs in Taunton raids
POLICE seized a quantity of what is believed to be cannabis during a raid on two homes in Taunton this morning (Tuesday).
Several officers piled into the adjacent houses in Roman Road at around 10.30am.
They removed a quantity of suspected Class B drugs and other items.
A sniffer dog was sent in to search the properties and a car parked in the street outside.
One man in his early 20s was arrested outside one of the houses on suspicion of possession of cannabis.
Another man, in his 30s, was arrested inside one of the houses for suspected possession of drugs with intent to supply.
Police, who acted on information supplied by people living in the area, praised the community for their help.
And locals praised officers for taking decisive action.
Police are expected to be at the two homes into this afternoon.
