SOUTH Africans and Zimbabweans living in Somerset are invited to a get-together Braai to form an association.

Traditional food, such as boerewors, putu/sadza, salads and rolls and drinks will be available - or guests can take their own meat.

The event is at Trull village hall on Sunday, July 20 at 2.30pm - entry is £6 per head, £3.00 for under 12s, which includes putu, salads and rolls.

Interested to know how many black faces there'll be at the get together.

Will be lovely to meet other Saffers in the area. However I find the entry fee a bit steep especially where it comes to families. Granted, the facilities do cost, but I've been to other other SA days / braais with no entry fee. The price may well keep some people way. £6 may not seem like much to a single person but it's £24 + meat for a family of 4. A lot when you're not feeling particularly flush.
