Somerset get permission for 'club hub'

SOMERSET have been granted planning permission for the club hub' that will adjoin the Ondaatje Pavilion at the County Ground.

The new building will house the players changing and treatment rooms and the club offices under one roof.

The building work will be carried out during the winter and it is planned that the club hub will be open in time for next season's Twenty20 and the Women's ICC Twenty 20 World Cup.

Somerset chairman Andy Nash said: "This is the next stage of the ground development and will keep the momentum going.

"The first stage of the redevelopment work at the County Ground was aimed at improving the facilities for our spectators now this next phase will improve the facilities for the players and officials."
