PARENTS at Thurlbear Primary School raised most of the money towards new playground facilities built for the start of this term.
Head teacher Heather Barraclough, who recently took up her post, has just welcomed Taunton Deane MP Jeremy Browne to the school.
He said: “Thurlbear is a deservedly popular village school which attracts pupils from a wide area.
“I enjoyed meeting with the head teacher and finding out more about her plans for the school.
“I was impressed by the playground facilities – the PTA raised most of the money and they deserve credit for their fundraising efforts.”
