County Gazette news editor answers call for Taunton blood donors

AN appeal has gone out for more blood donors in the Taunton and Wellington area to help save more lives.

Team Give Blood hopes to sign up 100 donors in the area before the end of the year - and County Gazette news editor Andy McGill has answered the call.

He's going along to a blood donation session next week to help boost stocks at a crucial time of year.

Taunton is one of the better performing towns in the country, but donors are needed in the surrounding towns and villages.

Team Give Blood wants to raise awareness of the need for new blood donors; to boost the size of its donor base; attract more new donors to sessions; and enrol 100 new donors in the area before the end of 2012.
