Large lorry fire closes two lanes on M5 at Wellington

ALL lanes have now re-opened, including the entry slip road.
9:39am
FIRE crews left the scene at 8.30am.
The fire was put out by about 6.40am, but it had been ablaze since just before 5am, officials said.
Two crews from Wellington, two from Taunton and one from Bridgwater attended the scene.
One lane remains closed AND the entry slip road.

FIRE crews remain on site at the northbound entry slip to the M5 at Junction 26 (Wellington), where a lorry fire is being dealt with.
The blaze is now understood to be out, although lanes one and two northbound remain closed while crews make up their equipment.

ONLY one lane is now closed following the fire.

REPORTS coming in that fire crews have now put out the tyre lorry that was on fire.
Still two lanes closed though at the moment as the wreckage is cleared.
No report of any casualties at this stage.

TWO lanes have been closed on the M5 at Wellington after a lorry carrying tyres caught fire.
The entry slip road on the nortbound carriageway is also closed at junction 26 as crews continue to tackle the large fire.
Motorists are warned to expect delays.
