STAFF at Willowbrook Garden Centre must be breathing a sigh of relief...
The centre, on the A38, was hit by flooding in September and only reopened earlier this month after refurbishment.
But despite more heavy rain over the last seven days, the store is still open.
Manager Wendy Butt said: “We got flooded again on Friday and Saturday but we’re all up and running this week.
"Everything was up higher off the floor so it was just a case of mopping it out and getting the store ready.
“Last time all the stock got ruined but because we’ve only just re-opened we didn’t have as much.”
The store was forced to close last Wednesday (November 21) when the onslaught began.
Owner Carol Grabham said she’d “never seen the road like it”.
