THE Environment Agency has issued a Flood Alert for parts of the River Tone catchment this evening with heavy rain falling and more forecast overnight (December 5).
The Alert has been put in place on the Tone from Clatworthy Reservoir to Currymoor, Hillfarrance Brook, the Halsewater Stream and other tributaries in the River Tone catchment.
The agency says to 15mm of rain is forecast between now and 11pm and that river levels on the River Tone at Greenham, the River Tone at Bishop's Hull, the River Tone at Taunton, Hillfarrance Brook at Milverton and Halsewater Stream at Halsewater are currently stable but may respond to the forecast rainfall.
