Yobs racially abuse man in Taunton park assault
AN Asian man was attacked and racially abused as he walked through a Taunton park late at night.
The 34-year-old was jumped on by hooded thugs while walking to meet his wife just after 10pm on Wednesday (January 2).
The attackers punched and kicked him to the ground in Victoria Park before shouting racist comments, leaving him with extensive cuts and bruises.
PC Andy Williams said: "This was a particularly nasty and callous attack. The victim was left shocked, shaken and injured by this assault.
"We will be relentless in our search to track down these offenders and bring them to justice."
Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to get in touch by calling 101.
