The search for Torpoint ferry jump teenager Jordan Cobb has resumed today.

This search will involve the coastguard, MOD and police. Police will not be carrying out ground searches, but will be in rib type boats checking shoreline areas.

The 16-year-old was seen to jump from the Torpoint Ferry at around 9.15pm on New Year's Eve.

Some 50 staff from the Coastguard, Devon and Cornwall Police and Ministry of Defence (MoD) Police were involved in an intensive search on Thursday, (January 3), taking in both sides of the river and the dockyard.

MoD Police has searched the dockyard and searches have gone as far as the Citadel. On the Cornish side, the search has spanned from Mount Edgecumbe to Millbrook, including the St John’s Lake and HMS Raleigh areas.

An RNAS Culdrose helicopter was called in to conduct a search of the St John’s Lake area.

Police divers also searched the river bed around the ferry.

The public are asked to keep away from the shoreline.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Devon and Cornwall Police on 101.
