AN extra feature has been added to a care home’s garden thanks to a donation from Magna residents.
Burt Pearson, who raised £26,000 to create a dementia garden at Croft House, successfully applied for £230 from the community improvement project fund to buy a bench.
Burt said: “We’re very grateful to Magna for providing the bench and it’ll be very much appreciated by the residents here who will be able to enjoy the dementia garden in all its glory.”
The bench was delivered in the snow and many of those involved braved the chill to see it arrive.
Magna tenant panel chairman Norma Stevens said: “This is a very good project for us to support as some of our residents will potentially move into this care some day.
“We’re pleased to contribute to the dementia garden, and provide a bench for residents to sit and enjoy the surroundings.”
