STUDENTS from West Somerset Community College are set to wow audiences at Minehead’s almost revamped theatre.
The Regal Theatre’s stage will play host to youngsters performing the familiar and much-loved Fame.
Set during the final years of New York City’s celebrated High School for the Performing Arts, the musical is the bittersweet but inspiring story of a diverse group of students who commit to years of gruelling artistic and academic work.
It explores issues that confront many people today, including prejudice, identity, self-worth, literacy, sexuality, substance abuse and perseverance.
People will have three chances to catch the show, which will be performed tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday (February 5 to 7) at 7.30pm.
Tickets, costing up to £8, are available via www.regaltheatre.co.uk or from the box office on 01643-706430, which is open Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm and Saturday 10am to 1pm.
