WORK on Wiveliscombe's new surgery has stalled... due to the weather.
Developers were expected on-site by January to begin work on the two-storey surgery off Croft Way, but severe flooding and heavy snowfall has halted progress.
Peter Moran, manager of Lister House Surgery, said: “The weather has caused disruption which delayed construction.
“We are expecting foundations to be dug at the end of February when, hopefully, the weather will be a bit kinder.”
Staff are moving from the current surgery because it is too small to accommodate patients.
Dr Moran said the new state-of-the-art centre will give them double the space.
