HOME owners have been getting clued up on ways to keep their homes – and themselves – safe.

Elderly residents with the Mini Day Club which meets in the Victoria Rooms on Fridays were given tips to avoid getting caught out by rogue traders and distraction burglars.

Rosebank Road is now a no cold calling zone, and police are working to identify other possible locations.
