A 42-YEAR-OLD dad from Wellington is preparing to tackle the Bath Half Marathon in aid of children’s charity CLIC Sargent.

Stephen Lee, who works at Swallowfield in the town, will take on the 13.1mile course on Sunday (March 3)

He said: "After seeing some of my friends die over the years from cancer and other diseases I thought it would be nice to give something back to help children with cancer.

"I got into running in 2007 when I did the monument run. This will be my fifth half marathon and I think I'm ready for it.

"The bad weather stopped me going out for a bit but I've managed to catch up."
