Transition Athelney hold meeting to make Stoke St Gregory 'green'
A GROUP who hope to make the village ‘green’ will be showing off their plans tomorrow (Friday).
Transition Athelney are visiting Stoke St Gregory’s Williams Hall at 7.30pm as part of The Government’s ‘Green Deal’ which encourages people to make energy-saving improvements to our homes or businesses without having to pay all the costs up front.
Improvements could include insulation, new boilers, draught-proofing, double glazing or even items like solar panels.
They hope people in the village will have a home assessment and make some changes to make the village more carbon friendly.
