Somerset College student tastes life in the Armed Forces

TEENAGER Ellis Messarra got the chance to experience life in the Armed Forces after attending a Territorial Army taster day.
The Somerset College pupil, from Taunton, was one of 150 pupils invited to the event at 6 Rifles’ Battalion HQ at Wyvern Barracks in Exeter.
Ellis said: “The open day was a lot of fun and a fantastic way to get an idea of what I could be doing in the future.
“There has been a range of different activities to get involved in; the paintballing was good fun.
“This has helped confirm my ambition to study at The Royal Academy of Sandhurst and to go on to a career within the Armed Forces.”
