TAUNTON and District Citizens Advice Bureau helped 7,915 people with benefit problems in 2012... and expects to assist even more this year.
Chief officer Liz Fothergill said there has already been an increase in Employment Support Allowance and Carer’s Allowance queries, but fears that is just the tip of the iceberg.
She said: “Every day we see people struggling to keep a roof over their heads or put food on the table as wage squeezes, price rises and benefit cuts wreak havoc on household budgets.”
