SMART rugby players from Lydeard St Lawrence Primary School are hoping to look good both on and off the pitch this year.
The youngsters are delighted to be able to play in their new kit, supplied by sponsors Podshavers Barn Restaurant in Bishops Lydeard, for some important upcoming tournaments.
As winners of the Tone Small Schools Tag Rugby trophy for the past four years they are hoping to make it five on the trot tomorrow (21) at Bishop Fox’s School.
Teacher Mat Bawden said: “We’re very proud of the pupils’ achievement in sport at the school and it’s something we pride ourselves in.
“We made it through to the Somerset finals at Millfield School and did extremely well at the regional event at Taunton School last year, which we’re looking to emulate this year.”
