Wellington School hockey stars to represent Somerset

SIXTEEN hockey stars from Wellington School have been picked to represent Somerset in the Junior Academy Centre.

Pupils were selected across the age ranges with a mix of girls and boys.

Under-14 girls selected are Orla Egan, Imogen Hughes, Cerys Lee, Amy Bennett and Emma Gibbins, along with under-15s Polly Wheller and Annabelle Jay, under-16 Jade Clarke and under-17 Sophie Langdon. Boys selected were Tom Perry in the under-14s, under-15s George Adams, George Mallinson, Will Mitchell, Ben Salter and Eddie St George, and under-16 George Carson.

Director of sport Miles Richards said: “Hockey’s a strong tradition at Wellington and we’re proud to maintain this standard of excellence.”
