A PASSENGER who forced his way into a toilet at Taunton train station which was closed for cleaning and assaulted a staff member is being sought by police.
British Transport Police officer Justin Hamling said: “A member of staff was cleaning the male toilet on platform two at Taunton station. He had closed the toilet in order to carry out the work but a man pushed his way into the toilet, causing a trolley to strike the member of staff.
“The cleaner told the man the toilets were currently closed but the man grabbed hold of him and assaulted him. Enquiries have been ongoing to identify the man responsible but to no avail so far.
“After reviewing CCTV footage from the station, I would now like to speak to the man in this photograph as I believe he will be able to assist."
The incident happened at 12.30pm on Saturday, March 23, but details have only just been released by the police. If you can help call 0800-405040, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555111, referencing incident B4/WWA of 10/05/13.
