DOZENS of gardeners from Somerset have been busy plying their trade at the world famous Chelsea Flower Show.
Among those representing the county at the event, which ends on Saturday, was the team from Kelways Garden Centre in Langport.
They provided plants for ten of the show gardens, which won a total of eight gold medals, one silver-gilt and one silver, including two ‘Best in Show Awards’.
Among the prize-winning gardens Kelways provided plants for was the Trailfinders Australian Garden by Flemings and the After the Fire Garden by James Basson.
Retail manager Andy Martin said: “After a difficult growing season with the weather and light, getting the plants to the standard for the show was a big headache.”
