A CHARITY shop in Wellington has introduced a loyalty card scheme.
Sue Ryder, which has had a presence in Fore Street for more than a decade, is offering regular customers £5 off second-hand goods – once they have collected 10 stamps.
The scheme aims to reward customers.
Shop manager Pauline Trebble, who has run the store for four years, said: “For every £5 a customer spends, they get their card stamped.
“When they have 10 stamps, they can have £5 off their next purchase of secondhand goods.”
The card scheme has gone down well with regulars but not everyone wants to be rewarded for supporting the charity.
Ms Trebble said: “Some people don’t want a card because they don’t want anything back. They just want to give.”
The shop boasts an impressive secondhand furniture department, offering a selection of sofas, chairs and cabinets.
Top sellers in the shop include ladies’ clothes, bric-a-brac and furniture.
Sue Ryder, which supports people with life-changing illness, is celebrating its diamond anniversary.
