Motorcyclist remains in serious condition following Wellington lorry crash

- Exeter Road closed for several hours following collision involving a motorcycle.

THE company also said their driver, who suffered minor cuts and bruises, has been released from hospital.
STAPLETON'S Tyre Services confirmed one of their vehicles was involved in the collision.
A spokesman from the company said: “All our thoughts are for the motorcyclist and his family at this tragic time.
“We are carrying out a full investigation into the circumstances of this accident and will be providing all the information we can to the police for their enquiry.”
POLICE have said this morning (September 11) that no arrests have been made and the motorcyclist remains in a "serious" condition.
THE motorcyclist has now been transferred from Musgrove Park Hospital to Frenchay Hospital, in Bristol, with life-threatening injuries.
The lorry driver was taken to Musgrove with less serious injuries.
THE roads are now open at Bagley Green/Exeter Road junction following this morning's accident, police have just announced.

THE road is still closed between Rockwell Green and the Bagley Road roundabout.
A diversion is in operation.
THIS is where the incident is believed to have happened on Exeter Road between the Pope's Lane and Bagley Road junction.
A spokesperson at Golden Hills Pet Supplies, based near the scene, did not want to talk about the incident but did say the road has been closed for most of the morning.
They also said the scene is currently cordoned off by police.
A SPOKESMAN for Avon and Somerset Police said: "At around 9am this morning there was a collision between a motorcyclist and a lorry. The motorcyclist sustained serious, life-threatening injuries to the head.
"The motorcyclist was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital by road."

EXETER Road in Wellington has been closed following a serious collision.
The incident happened on Tuesday morning (September 10) and is believed to have involved a lorry and a motorcycle.
