IT donation boosts Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance
7:00pm Monday 14th October 2013 in News
DORSET and Somerset Air Ambulance’s fundraising efforts have been given a major boost following the donation of refurbished computer equipment by Somerset-based Donate IT.
The computer recycling scheme presented the charity with four laptops and two projectors.
The handover took place at the Air Ambulance base at Henstridge Airfield as part of National Air Ambulance Week.
The equipment will be used by a team of volunteers to give presentations about the Air Ambulance to encourage organisations and individuals to help with their fundraising.
Debbie Birtwisle, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance’s Fundraising Coordinator, said: “Until now our team of fundraising volunteers has been sharing a laptop, and so this computer equipment from Donate IT will be invaluable.
“It will now enable us to reach more people within the community to inform them of the service provided by the Air Ambulance as well as showing them ways in which they can get involved in fundraising.”
